New Orleans The Bombay Club Pasta: Oyster and Tasso Fettuccini

The Bombay Club in New Orleans in the French Quarter
From Denny:  The Bombay Club in New Orleans is a hot spot in the French Quarter, near Bourbon Street, well known and revered by the locals as well as tourists.  It features Nouveau Creole cuisine, receiving many accolades in the food world.

Be sure to check out the incredible martini menu too!  It's a bit decadent with that air of secret romance that carries you worlds away from stress.  Musical entertainment is offered so be sure to check their events schedule on the website before you decide to visit.

From The Bombay Club website:

"New Orleans, so well known for her music, food, and spirits, has surprisingly few venues that offer a high quality sampling of all three. One of these rare places is The Bombay Club, a lovely candlelit spot tucked away in the heart of the French Quarter at 830 Conti Street. Although the club is located just a short half-block from the infamous Bourbon Street, its ambiance is miles away.

The Bombay Club is decorated in a plush British Gentleman’s Club theme; with overstuffed leather wingback chairs, rich wood, fine portraits, and features a lovely small courtyard. It feels like a living room - albeit a slightly finer living room than most of us are lucky enough to experience. In one corner of the small club, live music is played nightly.

The Bombay Club is also beloved for the delicious Nouveau Creole food prepared by Executive Chef Ricky Cheramie. Chef Cheramie’s food has received accolades from local reviewer Tom Fitzmorris, as well as from national sources such as Sante Magazine and MSNBC.com. It’s a pleasure to find food as well crafted as this, even in a city renowned for its food.

Our leather bound, velvet lined cocktail menu is created by Cheryl Charming aka Miss Charming™. Cheryl holds the current title of having published the most bar & cocktail-related books than anyone. The beautiful menu showcases Martinis and cocktails from the 1860s to present day. The menu is also peppered with historical facts about the cocktails offered.

There is also a Champagne cocktail section beginning from the 1860s as well as a variety of low calorie “skinny” Martinis and cocktails. We offer an extensive selection of single malt Scotches, cordials, Cognacs, Ports, Bourbons, and gins as well as several quality wines are offered by the glass.

In short, the Bombay Club is exactly the sort of place that many people dream of enjoying in New Orleans but cannot seem to find. It’s decadent, but tasteful-delicious, but not stuffy - filled with great music, but never deafening. This local treasure should be on every visitor’s “must see list” in the Crescent City!"
